Hyperloop Mvdc Electrification System: Modeling, Configuration, and Performance Analysis
Hyperloop technology can serve short to medium distance voyages with lower CO$_2$ emissions. Eurotube Foundation is building one hyperloop demonstration pilot in a target speed regime of 700 to 900 km/h. HES-SO collaborates with Eurotube in designing and configuring its electrification system. This work aims at building a complete digital simulation model to test possible conceptual hyperloop realizations as well as determine the optimal configuration of hyperloop electrification system before the construction work. Three critical configurations are tested with the built model: substation installation position, transmission voltage level, and capsule launch frequency. Performance assessments and problem analysis are conducted based on the obtained results. Conclusions and perspectives are remarked.
