A Distributed Strategy For Parallel Power System Restoration
This paper describes a novel distributed strategy for parallel power system restoration (PPSR). In particular, given an initial partition, as for instance the optimal partition in nominal (non-faulty) conditions, we propose a consensus-based strategy that allows nodes to migrate from one subsystem to another one, in order to minimize a cost function of interest. The proposed methodology is extensively compared with other centralized ones, in classic 39- and 118-bus IEEE systems, under different faults, to illustrate its ability to recover the same optimal solutions in a distributed fashion.
