Change of Operating Point In Power System With Voltage Angle-Based Control
The energy transition is causing a reduction in conventional power plants and thus synchronous generators, which can stabilize the grid with their inertia. The operation of power grids must be reconsidered accordingly. One possibility is the angle-based network control proposed in the literature. A problem that has not yet been solved is the change of system operation points within the framework of an operational schedule. In this paper, it will be shown how the operating point change in power system operation with angle-based control can lead to the relieving of the balancing power reserve. The study case is performed in 39 bus New England system.
