Simulation and Verification of A 10 Kv Rc Divider Module Composed of Smd Components On Pcbs For Power Quality Measurement
This study presents a planar circuit simulation model for an SMD-based meanderly structured 10 kV RC divider to examine the bandwidth and the influence of parasitic components on the transmission behaviour. Therefore, the authors model the high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) unit each, considering the meander structure, and compose a resonant circuit simulation model (Resonant Model) including both units as well as parasitic components for which parameter studies are carried out. The Resonant Model shows good agreement with measurement data. Thus, it is verified and suitable to examine the transmission function via parameter studies which demonstrate that the design of the LV unit is important to increase the divider’s bandwidth as a decreasing LV unit’s inductivity and an increasing resistance broaden the bandwidth.
